Dental Examinations

During your first visit, a Comprehensive Oral and Periodontal Examination will be performed by your Dentist. Your initial new patient visit will be followed up by Periodic Examinations at all subsequent recall visits. Your Dentist and Hygienist will work collectively to gather and evaluate necessary information utilizing the following exams:

• Extraoral Examination (Head/Neck)
• Oral Cancer Screening
• Examination of Diagnostic Radiographs (X-Rays)
• Periodontal Examination and Screening (Gums/Bone)
• Examination of Tooth Decay (Cavities)
• Examination of Existing Restorations (Fillings/Crowns/Bridges/Veneers)
• Examination of Occlusion and Tooth Alignment (Bite/Positioning)
• Examination of Parafunctional Habits (Bruxism/Grinding/Clenching)
